Anavipatel55, For spring intakes the chances are less. Summer begins when spring semester ends. The spring intake students by then would have only one semester done whereas fall intake ppl will finish 2 sems. So obviously they have upper hand.
Anavipatel55, US law requires you to have spent at least two academic semesters before taking up a full-time CPT. Thus, you'll not be able to do an internship in the coming summer. If you graduate in four semesters, you'll be able to do an internship in the next summer session. Otherwise, you'll graduate without any internship. This is the biggest downside of joining in Spring.
Anavipatel55, However there us a upside as well. If you get an internship during next summer you will have only one more semester left. So the chances of converting the internship to full time job are higher. Where as in fall you will have two semesters left. In that case you will have to apply for job again
