Visa

How can i get f-1 student visa in USA?

Joshefmaria,

A student is eligible to get F1 student visa only after receiving admission in a recognized university in the U.S. Once the institution has accepted student’s application for a study program, the institution issues Form I-20. After receiving I-20, you pay the SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) fee online at https://www.fmjfee.com/ and then apply for the F1 visa at your nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. The application for the visa can be submitted online by filling the DS-160 form at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ and paying the application fee ($160) through http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/. You can then schedule an appointment for fingerprinting and photos at the Visa Application Center and for the visa interview at the embassy/consulate at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/. Now you are ready to appear for biometrics at the Visa Application Center and interview at the consulate. If your visa is approved, you will receive your passport with the F1 visa stamped within few days of your interview.
